This Pride, let's celebrate LQBTQ+ students.
In a past podcast we met Oliver and heard the story of her own gender identity journey. Through a new podcast, we check in with Oliver as more states consider laws restricting gender-affirming care and transgender participation in sports. Recently Oliver’s sister, Everly spoke out against such laws in her home state of Missouri. This version is geared more towards younger audiences. The second version is the same podcast but with the addition of Katherine (Oliver and Everly’s mom) speaking to the parent perspective as she watches legislation being debated around her daughter’s identity and how she can express herself.

Podcasts that Help Students Discuss Pride Month
1. Transgender Identity
Listen to Oliver share stories about her experience as a transgender student in elementary school, and the valuable lessons from her family about what we all can do to better support the transgender community.
2. Rise in Anti-Trans Legislation (Kids Version)

This post is truly touching! Oliver’s story really resonated with me, understanding her own identity and having her family stand by her is incredibly inspiring. Moments like these make you reflect on how important support and acceptance are. Sometimes I get so busy managing classes and assignments that I hire an expert to take my online exam for me for me.
This post offers such thoughtful resources for nurturing student-centered Pride Month discussions—well done. Its blend of empathy and storytelling creates a genuinely inclusive atmosphere. As educators consider creative supports like Amazon Kindle book marketing services, this kind of compassionate approach reminds us that visibility, respect, and confidence in our students are what truly matter.
